ColorMade Signature Workflow (2.0)
Follow
As always, our ColorMade Signature collections are designed for flexibility and creativity, with a large selection of presets around a core theme and stackable tools for crafting bespoke edits with your own unique signature.
In addition to collection-wide modern stylistic changes and a range of new presets, our 2.0 releases now include AI Adaptive Presets for localized adjustments powered by Adobe Sensei Artificial Intelligence.
01. Light + Lens - Correct
We consider light and lens adjustments to be key corrections for any professional photographer. These changes are often done manually for any workflow.
Most users will correct the following prior to applying presets for clean, cohesive results each time:
Exposure | Adjust exposure to brighten or darken your image. Exposure adjustments can be either corrective or stylistic (moody images will often require less exposure, light & airy requires more). One click exposure adjustments can be found in the free Lensman Toolkit. |
White Balance | White Balance Temp + Tint adjustments address environmental color casts for true, clean, balanced whites + highlights. This can be corrected via drop-down, manual targeting of neutral tones in your image, or via preset options in our free Lensman Toolkit. |
Lens Corrections | Enable Profile Corrections addresses warp or vignette caused by your lens, toggle on/off to preview. Remove Chromatic Aberration addresses chromatic aberration caused by your lens (especially when shooting with a wider aperture). Chromatic aberration refers to the green or magenta color fringing you might see around highlights/bright spots or sharp corners. |
02. Presets - ColorMade
At the core of our signature collections are black & white and full-color global presets that celebrate the different hues, environments, and experiences that make up the central theme of each collection.
03. Tools & Effects- Customize
This section of optional, stackable tool presets allows you to further customize your workflow for unique and stunning results tailored to your images and style.
Background AI |
These presets will adjust only the background of your images. |
Effects | These presets will add a hand-painted stylistic element. |
Sky AI | These presets will adjust only the sky of your images. |
Subject AI |
These presets will adjust only the subject(s) of your images. |
Global Tools add full-image tweaks to your edits, from filter color washes, to tone curve filmic and light-inspired adjustments, tone strength adjustments, and vignette.
Bonus: The Lensman Toolkit
When it comes to developing a rapid Lightroom workflow while dialing in your signature look, updating your style, or even learning Lightroom for the first time, our experience has shown that a layered preset based system is the most efficient approach for making quick adjustments and exploring what you like best.
Divided into 15 different categories, this collection of 114 presets offers extreme editing flexibility while working exclusively within the left-side 'Presets' panel. The toolkit is designed with a top-down approach of stackable tool presets that affect a single setting at a time.
How to use the Lensman Toolkit
To use as a standalone solution - with a fresh image, start at the very first category and then work your way down to the last, until completion.
To begin work through optional '00 Quick Tools' to enhance filmic style, correct for lens shape/vignette, and select your preferred treatment, either black & white or color. Then move on to the '01 WB' category to correct for color/warm color casts and achieve true tones. From there, continue down into the ‘02 Exposure’ category and then on to the next. Continue doing so through the toolkit while selecting the presets that work best for your photo. As you work your way down the categories, feel free to jump back up to higher categories if further adjustments are needed, and then just return to where you previously left off.
To use in addition to presets to adapt them to your needs - apply your desired global presets FIRST, then start at temperature and work your way down. You may wish to jump around.
Organized by category, the toolkit begins with "Quick Tools" and ends with "Grain" (See photo below for example).
